Port Property Founder Tom Watson Named a Mainebiz 2023 Business Leader of the Year!

We are excited to share that Tom Watson, Founder of Port Property, was named a Mainebiz 2023 Business Leader of the Year! Each year, nominees are submitted by the business community, then selected and profiled by Mainebiz.

Watson has lived and worked in Portland since 1993, when he moved to Maine and founded Port Property. “I was an ultimate frisbee player and I came up to play in a game at Fort Williams in Cape Elizabeth. The Portland team took me out for beers afterwards to Gritty’s. The beer, the frisbee, the people, the architecture, all stupendous. I knew I was home here in Portland.”

Other honorees include Drew Lyman, of Lyman-Morse Boatbuilding Inc., Margo Walsh, of MaineWorks, Habib Dagher, of the UMaine Advanced Structures and Composites Center, Leigh Saufley, of Maine Law, Tim Harrington, of Atlantic Hospitality, Kennebunkport Resort Collection, and Batson River Brewing and Distilling, Amina Hassan, of Her Safety Net, Travis Mills, of Travis Mills Foundation, and Dana Connors, of the Maine State Chamber of Commerce.
