At Port Property, “Making Home Happen” starts with the people behind the scenes who help create welcoming, connected communities every day. In this edition of our In the Spotlight series, we connected with Madeline Rossignol, Resident Services & Leasing Coordinator for The Levee and Riverdam communities in Biddeford.
Since joining Port Property in February 2025, Madeline has become a familiar face for prospective and current residents alike, guiding tours, coordinating resident services, and helping people navigate one of life’s biggest transitions: finding a new home.
Q: What does a typical day look like for you?
A big part of my role is helping prospective residents find the right apartment, so a lot of my day is spent answering questions, giving tours, and helping people through the leasing process. I really try to make it as easy and stress-free as possible.
On the resident services side, I help coordinate maintenance requests, answer resident questions, and make sure things are running smoothly throughout the buildings. Every day is different, which I love. Some days I’m at my desk catching up on emails, and other days I’m walking properties, meeting residents, or showing apartments.
Q: What do you enjoy most about the role?
Definitely the people aspect of it. I’ve moved around a lot myself over the years, so I understand how stressful apartment searching can be. I love being able to help someone through that process and make it feel a little easier.
Coming from the service industry, I also really enjoy interacting with people every day. This role gives me the opportunity to still have those conversations and connections while helping people find a place they’re excited to call home.
Q: What do residents and prospective tenants love most about The Levee and Riverdam?
The amenities are a huge draw. A lot of people are surprised by everything that’s available to them: the gym, coworking spaces, coffee bar, bike storage, maker space, and even the dog wash.
I think what makes these communities special is that residents have these extra spaces outside of their apartments where they can relax, work, or connect with neighbors without ever having to leave the property. During tours, people are always excited to see those spaces because it’s not something you typically find in the area.
The maker space at The Levee has become one of my favorite spots to show during tours. We recently updated it with crafting tools, a Cricut machine, sewing equipment, and seasonal activities for residents. People are always blown away by how thoughtful and unique the space is.
Q: Port Property is currently preleasing apartments at Lofts North. What are you most excited about with that project?
Lofts North is really exciting because it’s a brand-new community right along the Saco River. Residents are going to have beautiful views, modern apartments, and access to all of The Levee amenities.
We’ve started introducing prospective residents to the space through hard hat tours, and people are already really excited about it. There’s something special about moving into a newly constructed building and being the very first person to live in the apartment.
Q: How has your experience been with the Port Property team so far?
It’s been incredibly supportive. Everyone is always willing to jump in and help, no matter which portfolio they’re part of. There’s a real team atmosphere here.
I’ve also learned so much from the leadership team, especially Matt Sargent-Dubois. He’s helped me grow professionally and become more confident in my role. I’m really grateful to be part of a company that encourages growth and collaboration.
Q: What do you like to do outside of work?
I love being outdoors: skiing, fishing, and anything outside when the weather is nice. I’m also really into music. I sing, and my fiancé plays guitar and piano, so we spend a lot of time playing music together at home.
Stay tuned for the next installment of our In the Spotlight series, where we continue highlighting the team members who help make home happen for Port Property residents every day.
