341 Cumberland Avenue, also known as The Earl, most likely built in 1910, is a former lodge hall, owned in 1924 by the Pythian Temple Association, according to the Maine Historical Society; check out an assessment and picture circa 1924. There are 29 units in the five-story building: a combination of studio, loft and one bedroom apartments, as well as one two-bedroom unit. Rents include heat, hot water, and water/sewer, as well as access to coin-op laundry and trash/recycling removal. Most of the apartments have an open-concept style. The five modern loft apartments on the first floor were built on top of an old basketball court.
Portland’s walkable downtown, chic restaurants, boutique shopping, and waterfront activities gives residents plenty to see and do, with public transportation available to take you where you want to go. Convenient living makes our Downtown apartments the perfect place to call home.

If any utility company needs access to a secured area of the building, please call Port Property’s Non-Emergency Maintenance Line at 207-699-2219 at least 24 hours in advance. Residents should leave their name, new address, and the connection date.
Note: Please do not schedule utilities to be turned on during the weekend or after hours if Port Property is required for access or assistance.
Coin-op laundry machines are located in the basement of the building, accessed through the stairwell directly to the right of the elevator (or take the elevator down to the basement).
Note: To ensure minimal disruption, residents are asked to refrain from using the laundry facilities before 8 am and after 8 pm.
Mailboxes are located just inside the lobby door. Units 1A-1G will find their mailboxes opposite the lobby door.
On-street parking only.
For further information about on-street parking and City of Portland parking bans, please contact the City of Portland or visit their website.
Trash and recycling receptacles can be accessed by taking the back stairwell to the basement. Once in the basement, follow the hall around the corner. The trash room is the 2nd door on the right.
All trash must be contained in closed trash bags (City of Portland trash bags are not required) and placed inside of the barrels, with the lids closed. Please notify the office if the barrels are full.
If residents dispose of household trash and/or large items in or around the building, they will be charged for removal and disposal. Please use the recycling totes, which are kept on the property, for single sort recyclables.
The City of Portland’s recycling guide is available here.
To set up a buzzer: Call Port Property at (207) 699-2218 and leave the resident’s address, telephone number, and reason for calling. Port Property will input this information into the system.
