30 Preble Street
30 Preble Street is a six-story, 64-unit building that was previously a hotel. Also known as The Wadsworth, 30 Preble Street includes two street-level commercial spaces.
The apartments today are a mix of small to large studios, small to large one bedrooms, and two bedrooms. Almost all of the apartments have hardwood floors, soaring high ceilings and large windows.
In September 2013, Portland magazine published an article on the Morocco Lounge, which was located in the lobby of the former Wadsworth Hotel. Two archival images of 30 Preble Street can be found on The Maine Historical Society website: one circa 1907, and another circa 1912 showing the Flaherty & McCabe furniture store.
