286/288 State Street is a three-story, 26-unit brick building of one and two bedroom units. Most have hardwood floors, and some have great views of the park. Card-operated laundry is located in the basement and the building provides trash/recycling removal. Rents include heat, hot water, cooking gas (where applicable), and water/sewer.
286/288 State Street is located right across the street from Deering Oaks, and is just a short walk to the Old Port and Downtown Portland. Situated in one of Portland’s most up and coming neighborhoods, 286/288 State Street is right next to trendy cafes, restaurants, and local breweries to experience. A local farmers market, parks to enjoy with kids and pets, and nearby shopping are what make these apartments feel like home.
For electricity, please contact Central Maine Power (CMP) at 1-800-750-4000.
If any utility, Internet, cable, phone, etc. company needs access to a secured area of the building, please call our Non-Emergency Maintenance Line at 207-699-2215 at least 24 hours in advance. Residents should leave their name, new address, and the connection date.
Note: Please do not schedule utilities to be turned on during the weekend or after hours if Port Property is required for access or assistance.
Card-op laundry machines are located in the basement of the building (access through the front or courtyard-side door of the 288 State Street side).
Note: To ensure minimal disruption, residents are asked to refrain from using the laundry facilities before 8 am and after 8 pm.
On-street parking only.
For further information about on-street parking and City of Portland parking bans, please contact the City of Portland or visit their website.
A dumpster is located in the building’s parking lot.
All trash must be contained in closed trash bags (City of Portland trash bags are not required) and placed inside of the dumpster.
If residents dispose of household trash and/or large items in or around the building, they will be charged for removal and disposal. Residents who wish to recycle are responsible for taking items to the nearest collection site.
The City of Portland’s recycling guide is available here.
