25/27 Montreal Street
Trash
Your trash day is Wednesday. To ensure the property is kept clean, you must not put your trash out before Tuesday at 8 pm. You must use a City of Portland trash bag (which can be purchased at local convenience stores and supermarkets) and place it curbside ON MONTREAL STREET ONLY. If you leave any household trash and/or large items in or around the building, you will be charged for removal and disposal. Please use the recycling totes, which are kept on the property, for single sort recyclables. PPM is responsible for placing the totes curbside on a weekly basis. You can find the City of Portland’s recycling guide here: http://www.ecomaine.org/recycling-and-waste-disposal/single-sort-guide/.
Laundry
Coin-op laundry machines are located in the basement of each building. The card machine that must be used to transfer money onto the card is located at 13 Montreal Street (the courtyard side); use your front door key to gain access. To ensure minimal disruptions to your neighbors, we require that you refrain from using the laundry facilities before 8 am and after 8 pm.
Parking
On and off-street parking. During parking bans, parking is available at the Boat Launch off the Promenade. For further information about on-street parking and City of Portland parking bans, please contact the City of Portland, or visit their website. If you have leased a parking space with your apartment, please follow the PPM Parking Policy.
Utilities & Services
For electricity, please contact Central Maine Power (CMP) at 1-800-750-4000. If any utility, Internet, cable, phone, etc. company needs access to a secured area of the building, please call our Non-Emergency Maintenance Line at (207) 761-0832, ext. 1 at least 24 hours in advance. Leave your name, your new address, and the connection date. Please do not schedule any utilities to be turned on during the weekend or after hours if you need PPM for access or assistance.
Storage
Storage units are available in the basement of the building. You are responsible for your own lock. Please use the unit labeled with your apartment number (call us if it is full/in use). PPM is not responsible for any damage, theft, etc. to belongings in the storage units.
