Port Property is pleased to announce that The Foundry on The Levee is officially open and accepting bookings following its July 29 launch celebration.
Located within The Levee, a highly acclaimed mixed-use riverfront community in Biddeford, the new 22,513-square-foot venue welcomes weddings, corporate events, nonprofit galas, conferences, holiday parties, and more.
The Foundry on the Levee is one of the largest venues for corporate events and weddings to open in Southern Maine. It is operated by Maine Venue Partners, which brings together the creative leadership of Laurie Andrews of Laurie Andrews Design and the hospitality expertise of Fausto Pifferrer of Blue Elephant Events & Catering, combining their decades of experience in venue management, event design and hospitality under one roof.
“Throughout the development of The Levee, our vision has been to create places where people want to live, work, gather and build community,” said John Laliberte, President & CEO of Reveler Development, the parent company of Port Property. “The Foundry on The Levee represents the next chapter in that vision. Laurie and Fausto have spent decades creating extraordinary experiences across Maine, and we’re thrilled to see them bring The Foundry on The Levee to life.”
Over the past 21 years, Laurie and Fausto have trailblazed event design across the state. They helped the wedding industry boom here in 2013, were key advisors to the state government amid the pandemic, and have shaped Maine’s status as a $1 billion wedding industry leader and national trend-setter.
“The Foundry is the culmination of everything we’ve learned over our careers,” said Laurie. “We’ve spent years helping other venues succeed, and now we have the opportunity to manage this venue around what today’s clients and guests truly value. Every detail is designed to create an exceptional experience, from the first tour through to the final celebration.”
The Foundry on the Levee blends the raw character of Maine’s mill history with elevated, modern design. Featuring 35-foot ceilings, dramatic factory windows, river views, and a fully integrated floral design studio, it can accommodate over 500 guests for an event inside the space and over 200 guests for an event on the riverside patio. It is located just steps from downtown Biddeford, the RiverWalk, hotels, restaurants and convenient parking, creating a walkable destination for visitors from across New England.
“People remember how an event made them feel,” said Fausto. “Whether it’s a wedding, a fundraising gala or a company celebration, our goal is to create experiences that stay with guests long after they leave. The Foundry on the Levee gives us an incredible space to do exactly that.”
The Foundry has already begun welcoming bookings for 2026 and 2027, including weddings, nonprofit events, university functions, and corporate gatherings. The July 29 launch celebration introduced the venue to community leaders, event professionals and the media through cocktails, curated culinary experiences and design showcases.
The Levee is an outstanding redevelopment that blends housing, retail, and cultural spaces into one cohesive neighborhood. Alongside the launch of The Foundry at the Levee, Port Property also celebrated the official opening of Lofts North, a brand-new apartment building located at 10 Upper Falls Road with sweeping views of the Saco River. The launch marks the fourth and final phase of The Levee, Reveler’s award-winning, master planned development in downtown Biddeford.
