Jibe Cycle Joins Hanover Works

Port Property is excited to welcome Jibe Cycle to Hanover Works in Portland’s West Bayside neighborhood. The Maine-founded boutique cycling studio recently relocated its Portland location to Hanover Street, joining an established, vibrant community connected to The Armature and Hanover Works.

The move marks an evolution for Jibe Cycle, which has built a loyal following across southern Maine as well as South Carolina. The new Hanover Street location allows the business to enhance its offering with a more accessible, single-level layout, upgraded equipment and amenities.

“This move gives us the opportunity to create a more seamless and elevated experience for our riders.” said Joanna Witherill, owner and founder of Jibe Cycle. “Having everything on one level, along with improved space, lighting, and sound, allows us to focus even more on what makes Jibe special—connection, energy, and a workout that is as joyful as it is effective.”

The new studio features a large, open cycling room, high ceilings, and natural light in the lobby. Members will benefit from free parking and close proximity to neighboring fitness, dining, and wellness businesses throughout Hanover Works.

Founded in 2018, Jibe Cycle has expanded from its original Portland location to Yarmouth and Charleston and Mount Pleasant, South Carolina, building a diverse and dedicated community of riders. Its 45-minute classes blend rhythm-based cycling with full-body choreography, creating an immersive experience designed for all fitness levels. Riders range from age 16–75.

Jibe Cycle joins the larger community at Hanover Works, a retail and dining destination that includes tenants such as the Hearts of Pine team store and Argenta Brewing. Centrally located in the West Bayside neighborhood of Portland, 65 Hanover Street offers mixed-use space with ample parking and pedestrian access.

“We’re focused on building places that feel active, welcoming, and well-used throughout the day,” said John Laliberte, CEO of Reveler Development—the parent company of Port Property. “Jibe Cycle brings a strong sense of energy to Hanover Works, and we’re excited to see them activate the space in a way that adds to the broader ecosystem we’re cultivating in West Bayside.”

Jibe Cycle is now open at 82 Hanover Street. For more information, visit www.jibecycling.com
